Located at the corner of Speedvale Ave and Kathleen Street, in the City of Guelph. The proposed residential intensification development consists of a single 95-unit residential building. The challenge was to insert a high quality, purpose built-rental residential building on a narrow, long infill site in an established residential neighbourhood. The resulting design proposes a ten-storey building with a newly designed centrally located outdoor amenity area for both new and existing residents. The overall effect is a multi-unit rental building that engages the street with a dynamic facade along Freeman Ave and that also fits in well with the massing and materials of the two existing apartment buildings along Speedvale Ave.
