First phase in the revitalization of Willow West Mall is located at the southwest corner of the property along Silvercreek Parkway and Willow Road. The mid-rise building represents the first significant new rental building proposed for the neighbourhood in nearly four decades. Designed by ARK I PETROFF, the proposal will rise 6 storeys with 160 rental units. The building will replace an under-utilized portion of the Mall’s surface parking lot. The existing mall will remain untouched and will be enhanced by the new development. Starlight recognizes the importance and popularity of Willow West Mall among the local community and emphasized that the shopping centre will remain for the foreseeable future.
