The Hangzhou International Conference Centre, located in Zhejiang Province, China, was developed to transform this historic city into a world class destination. PETROFF’s critical role as Project Architect translated the schematic design created by Associate Architect Carlos Ott to a tangible buildable concept. PETROFF’s role as prime consultant included the overseeing of master planning, architectural, interior and urban design. This exceptional urban icon features a 379 room hotel, 1,000 seat theatre accompanied by hall with six different language interpretation booths.
The design of the Hangzhou ICC gives the conference centre the ability to host international conferences and provide guests with luxury accommodations. It is inspired by the poetic image of the sub and the moon representing celestial imagery and iconography.
