The Metro banner of Grocery Stores encompasses nearly 1,000 locations across Ontario & Quebec with continued growth occurring every year through a variety of new builds & acquisitions. PETROFF joined the Metro program in late 2023 and has been working continuously to both learn their prototype needs and lend our Grocery & Retail experience in ways to optimize and improve their current practices to both the Metro and Food Basics banners. Metro places a large focus on their ESG Priorities & Corporate Responsibility Plan and we work with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure that these items remain in focus prior to and through the design & construction stages. With one of each Metro & Food Basics stores under construction currently, and another within the SPA process, PETROFF continues to strive towards excellence in realizing Metro’s brand recognition and quality control in all aspects of the business. In collaboration with Metro’s internal design & construction teams, store suppliers, pharmacy representatives and owner supplied consultants, our team works to ensure each project shares extreme consistency in material selections & construction practices, so the brand identity is maintained across their entire portfolio while also simplifying their building maintenance and life cycle planning that reinforce their ESG Priorities.
