Son Van Huynh - Director of Visualization

Son Van Huynh received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture Degrees from the University of Toronto, and is currently completing his PhD in Art History and Visual Culture at York University. His graduate architectural thesis entitled Ghost Orchards which explored contemporary issues of memorialization, has been recognized by the City of Toronto with an Award of Excellence in Urban Design, and garnered an Honourable Mention from the Ontario Association of Architects. He has taught design and research studios at OCAD University and performs many key roles at the Dowtown Toronto office. Team project credits include the Al Hertz Centre for Supportive and Palliative Care at Princess Margaret Hospital and 9600 Bathurst Street Community Complex, both receiving awards and accolades by the International Academy for Design and Health. Son has spoken internationally and is a recipient of the Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
